August 30, 2019Aged Tradelines Benefits
September 26, 2019As you probably know by now, your credit score is the ultimate decider when you are looking to get approved for loans, mortgages, credit cards, etc. More and more people these days are getting in touch with their credit so that they can reap the benefits.
Unfortunately, there are hundreds of thousands of Americans that still have poor scores. Luckily, there are many ways that you can boost your credit score quickly and maintain that score if you take the time out to do it with care. Bad credit scores can unknowingly cost you an incredible amount of money down the line! If you have a poor score and you are looking to boost it fast, here are a few ways that you can do so:
Revamp Your Credit Report
Before you start cleaning up your credit, you’ll need to get a report. There are many companies, such as Experian, that help to provide you with functional credit reports when you request them. Make sure you sit down and look over everything to see if you are late on any payments or if you have bills that have not been paid yet.
If you find something on your report that is false, you can report that information through a dispute. Once that is settled, any inaccuracies on your credit report should disappear!
Have Positive Reporting Tradelines On Your Credit Report
A tradeline is a credit account, whether that credit account is a mortgage, credit card, etc. You need to have at least three positive tradelines on your credit report to help boost anything that is negative on there. You can find positive tradelines through authorized dealers to boost your score as best as you can.
Watch Your Credit Card Balances
If you begin to max out your credit cards, you can greatly decrease your credit score. Your credit cards weigh in on about 30% of your score, which is a pretty large portion compared to others. If you start to pay off your credit cards, you can bring that 30% down very quickly. Make sure that you get those credit cards under 30% before you decide to try and apply before any more lines of credit.
Never Close Your Credit Card Accounts
Always keep your credit card accounts open! When you close your accounts, your credit score can drop because you are getting rid of that major portion of your account that incurs good credit with age. Instead of closing your credit card accounts, just take your cards and store them away where you won’t use them.
Conclusion
You need good credit if you are going to try and open any more credit accounts, so increasing your credit score quickly is very important. Make sure to look into tradelines or so that you can get that score up fast!
